Privacy notice
Last updated: September 5, 2026
This notice explains what personal data I collect through this site, what I use it for, and how you can ask me to correct or delete it. It follows Mexico's Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties.
Who is responsible for your data
Oscar Lara Fotografía, based in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, is responsible for the personal data collected on this site.
For anything related to your data, write to [email protected].
What I collect
If you use the contact form
The form collects your name, the type of event, the date you have in mind and your message. None of it is stored on any server of mine: the form opens WhatsApp with the message already written, and you decide whether to send it. From there the conversation lives in WhatsApp, under Meta's terms.
If you are a guest with a digital invitation
When you confirm attendance I store your name, the number of passes you confirm and, if you provide them, your dietary restrictions. This data comes from the couple and is used only to organise the event. It is shared only with them.
If your dietary restrictions reveal something about your health or beliefs, note that the field is optional: you may leave it blank or describe only what is essential.
When you simply browse the site
Browsing data is recorded, such as the page you view, where you came from, your device type and an approximate regional location. It does not include your name or anything that identifies you directly.
What I use it for
- Answering your enquiry and preparing a quote.
- Organising the events I photograph, when you are a guest.
- Understanding which pages work and improving the site.
- Measuring my advertising and avoiding ads to people who already wrote to me.
The last two are not needed to assist you. If you would rather they did not apply, see below.
Who I share data with
I do not sell your data or pass it on for commercial purposes. I use these services, which process it on my behalf:
- Cloudflare — site hosting, email and cookieless visit statistics.
- Google Analytics — site usage statistics.
- Meta — advertising measurement and the WhatsApp conversation.
- Supabase — the database holding attendance confirmations.
These providers may store information on servers outside Mexico. By using the site you accept that transfer.
Cookies and similar technologies
This site uses Google Analytics and Meta cookies to measure visits and campaigns. Cloudflare's statistics use no cookies.
You can block them at any time from your browser settings, or turn off personalised advertising directly at:
Blocking these cookies does not affect your browsing: the site works the same.
Your rights
You have the right to access the data I hold about you, correct it if wrong, delete it when no longer needed, and object to specific uses.
To exercise these rights, write to [email protected] saying what you want to do and how I can verify your identity. I will reply within twenty working days at most.
You may also ask me at any time to stop using your data for statistics or advertising, without affecting the service I give you.
How long I keep data
Attendance confirmations are deleted once the event ends and the couple receives their final list. WhatsApp conversations are kept while there is an ongoing commercial relationship. Browsing statistics follow Google's and Cloudflare's own retention periods, around fourteen months.
Changes to this notice
If I change how I handle data, I will update this page and change the date above. Significant changes will also be communicated through whatever contact details I have for you.
